Getting Started

Your first steps into Revolution Idle

Introduction

Welcome to Revolution Idle! This guide will walk you through the entire game from your very first Infinity to the endgame content. The early game can feel slow and tedious, but stick with it - the mechanics open up significantly as you progress. Your first Infinity typically takes around 12 hours, but subsequent runs will be much faster.

Basic Mechanics

Revolution Idle centers around four core mechanics that build on each other:

  • Colors (Circles) - 10 colored circles that generate income when they complete revolutions. Each circle has different speeds, with Red being fastest and White slowest. Unlock new circles by buying 5 levels of the previous one.
  • Ascensions - Small resets that multiply a circle's Mult Gain. Available when a circle reaches max level (100 + 10 per ascension). Resets the circle to level 5 but increases its multiplier production significantly.
  • Prestige - Available at 10 billion Score. Resets colors and ascensions but grants P.Mult (multiplies your total multiplier) and P.Exponent (exponentiates your income).
  • Promotions - Available at x1000 P.Mult. Resets everything including prestige but provides permanent upgrades across four categories that persist until Infinity.

First Infinity Strategy

Your first Infinity requires 1.79e308 Score and will be slow. Buy colors as they become available, focusing on the smaller circles first as they're more cost-efficient. Wait to unlock larger circles until the price difference narrows.

💡Free Achievement

Grab Achievement #005 "Check the Dev" immediately - just click the "Credits" tab on the right. Free multiplier bonus!

When to Prestige

Because Prestige resets your progress, wait for meaningful gains:

  • Early prestiges: Wait for x10 multiplier increases (10 → 100 → 1,000 → 10,000 → 100,000 → 1 million)
  • After 1 million: Aim for at least x1,000 of your previous P.Mult (1M → 1B → 1T, etc.)
  • As your promotions get stronger, these gains will come much faster and prestige thresholds will increase naturally

Promotion Strategy

Your first promotion should be #1 Mult Gain Mult at around x6 (level 3), which occurs at ~x13k P.Mult. After that, follow this progression:

  • #1: Levels 3, 8, 20, 30, then push to 80 for final stretch
  • #2 Laps Speed: Levels 10, 40 (final)
  • #3 Ascension Power: Levels 30, 70 (final)
  • #4 Promotion Power: Levels 50 (final)

This isn't the fastest route, but it's reliable. Generally wait at least 10 levels between promotions to make the reset worthwhile.

Ascension Tips

When circles reach max level, consider waiting until 1-2 additional circles are ready to ascend. This maintains overall speed since ascended circles reset to level 5. However, once you're past level 10 after ascension, growth accelerates significantly.

🏁Checkpoint

First Infinity typically takes around 12 hours. Don't worry if yours takes a bit longer - this is normal!

Hotkeys & Settings

These hotkeys (changeable in Options) will save you significant clicking:

  • B - Buy colors (absolutely essential!)
  • P - Prestige
  • 1-4 - Promotions

Consider enabling Scientific Notation in Options for better number visibility. I also recommend turning off Infinity animations once you unlock them so runs restart immediately.

📝Shop Purchases

You don't need to buy bonuses in the shop - they're almost useless except for Time Flux. Time Flux can speed up long grinds (2x is most efficient), but it's completely optional. Save your Souls for cosmetics if you prefer!
