Welcome to the endgame - understanding Dilation mechanics
Dilation Unlocked!
Dilation unlocks at Animals Milestone #7 (81 Animals). This is the endgame feature that introduces multiple negative modifiers to your runs, but rewards you with powerful upgrades based on your high Score.

Dilation represents the final major challenge before Unity. Progress here is measured differently - your Max Score in Dilation determines your Dilation Points (DP) Income, which you'll spend on powerful Dilation Upgrades.
How Dilation Works
In the Dilation tab (sixth Eternity tab), you can:
- •Enter Dilation: Starts a new Eternity with severe penalties applied
- •Exit Dilation: Starts a new Eternity and saves your Max Score
- •Earn DP Income: Based on your Max Score, generates DP per second passively
- •Buy Dilation Upgrades: Spend DP to weaken penalties and boost progression
Your goal is to push your Score as high as possible in Dilation, which increases your DP Income, allowing you to buy more upgrades, which lets you push Score even higher. It's a cycle of improvement!
Dilation Penalties
When you enter Dilation, severe penalties are applied to your run:
Common Exponent: ÷25
Your base exponent is drastically weakened
Generator Exponent: ÷1,000
Generators are almost useless initially
Star Exponent: ÷100
Stardust bonuses are heavily reduced
Ascension Power: ^0.10
Ascensions provide minimal bonuses
Lap Speed: ^0.10 then ÷10
Circles move extremely slowly
IP Gain: ^0.01
IP generation is crippled
📝Weakening Penalties
Your First Dilation Run
Before entering Dilation for the first time, make critical preparations:
1. Respec Lab to All Common Exponent
Put ALL Research Points into Lab #6 (Common Exponent). Generators won't work well in Dilation initially, so Common Exponent is your best investment.
This lab setup will remain optimal for most of Dilation progression!
2. Set All Automations
Make sure all automation is properly configured before entering.
3. Turn OFF Automate Eternity
You want control over when you exit Dilation to save your Max Score.
💡First Run Strategy
- • Reach a small Max Score (aim for ~1e30)
- • Start generating DP Income (~2.00 DP/s)
- • Exit and let DP accumulate passively
Early Dilation Gameplay Loop
After your first run, establish this cycle:
- Short Dilation Run (10-20 minutes):
- • Enter Dilation
- • When you reach Infinity, CLAIM the IP (important for generators!)
- • Turn OFF Auto Ascension for Red circle, manually ascend it for better lap speed
- • Push Score as high as you can in 10-20 minutes
- • Exit Dilation when progress slows
- Buy Dilation Upgrades:
- • Let DP accumulate from your Max Score
- • Buy Dilation Upgrade #1 (weakens penalties) when affordable
- • Buy Dilation Upgrade #2 (increases DP Income) when affordable
- • Set Dilation Upgrades to Max Bulk Buy for efficiency
- EP/Supernova Runs (Optional):
- • Do normal Eternity runs outside Dilation to upgrade Lab
- • Push for next Supernova when possible
- • Attempt Eternity Challenges if close to completion
- Repeat: Each cycle improves your Max Score → higher DP Income → better upgrades → higher Max Score
⚠️Important: Claim IP at First Infinity
When to Reset Dilation Runs
Exit Dilation when your Score stops rising efficiently. General guidelines:
- •Early runs: Exit when Score hasn't increased for 2-3 minutes
- •Mid-game: Aim for at least x1.5 Max Score before exiting
- •Late-game: Do longer runs (30-60 mins) when upgrades allow meaningful progress
Time Flux Usage
Time Flux can speed up Dilation runs, especially useful for:
- •Short 10-minute bursts to speed up the early buildup phase
- •Time Warps to skip slow periods

Dilation Upgrade #1: Level 100+

CRITICAL: Each difficulty multiplies DP Income (x2, x5, x10, x25, x100). Massive boost!
Unlock Dilation Tree
Complete all 50 Eternity Challenges (all difficulties) to unlock the Dilation Tree - a game-changing upgrade system!
Eternity Challenge #10 Priority
EC #10 should be a high priority once you have sufficient Dilation progress. The rewards are incredible:
Each difficulty completed is worth hours or days of grinding. Do them as soon as you meet the requirements!
