🧲 Advanced Progression Systems

Magnets and Merge Level are unlocked through the Refine Tree and provide powerful permanent multipliers. Magnets unlock a new currency and upgrade system, while Merge Level rewards active merging with exponential VP scaling.

Magnets (Refine Node 18)

How Magnets Work

After unlocking Node 18, you have a chance to gain 1+ Magnets every time you spawn a mineral. Base chance starts at 1% and can be increased through upgrades.

🎯 Magnet Farming Strategy

  1. Build up mineral level normally through several Polish runs to get VP production and cost fall speed up
  2. Switch spawn level to 1-15 and turn on Autospawn
  3. Goal: Maximize spawns to collect more magnets and increase Merge Level
  4. Cost fall should reach base value before automerge refills all inventory spaces
  5. Leave top 10 gold upgrades "On" in Autobuy, turn magnet upgrades off (buy manually) or only enable what you currently want

Magnet Upgrade Priority

Early Strategy:
  1. More Magnets to ×3 - Get more magnets per proc first
  2. VP Gain Mult - Start investing heavily in VP multiplier
  3. Goal: Reach Mineral Level 120+ for Refine upgrades
Mid Strategy (Level 130-140):
  1. More Magnets to ×5-6 - More is better but diminishing returns
  2. VP Gain Mult - Buy at least the 200 magnet cost upgrade (more is better)
  3. Merge Level should be ~30+ by now
  4. When you can spawn Level 117+, switch to highest level minerals and merge normally
Late Strategy (Level 140+):
  1. More Magnets ×5-7 - Enough for efficient farming
  2. VP Gain + PP Gain - Max these for progression
  3. Consider some Spawn +Lv and Merge +Lv upgrades for higher mineral levels

⚠️ Refine Node 34: Game Changer

Node 34 (12M RfP): Buying magnet mineral upgrades doesn't spend your magnets + Unlocks autobuy

Impact:
  • • Changes 1 hour of magnet farming into 2 minutes
  • • Eliminates tedious manual magnet grinding
  • • Enables autobuy for all magnet upgrades
  • • Magnets become permanent multipliers instead of consumable currency

This is one of the most impactful QoL upgrades in the entire Minerals system. Prioritize getting it!

Merge Level (Refine Node 5)

How Merge Level Works

Every time you merge minerals (drag one onto another), the merge bar fills by +1 EXP (mineral level doesn't matter). Each level of the merge bar multiplies your VP gain.

EXP per merge:+1 (any mineral level)
Merge Level 1:×1 VP multiplier
Merge Level 3:×3 VP multiplier
Merge Level 10:×10 VP multiplier
Reset:On Refine Prestige only

Merge Level Formula

EXP required to level up:

10 × (Merge Level + 1)²

Beyond Merge Level 101:

[10 × (ML + 1)²] × (1 + (ML - 100) / 100)
Example Requirements:
Level 1 → 2:
40 EXP (40 merges)
Level 10 → 11:
1,210 EXP
Level 50 → 51:
26,010 EXP
Level 100 → 101:
102,010 EXP

Refine Node 16: Merge Level Bonus

Node 16 (up to 98 levels): Increases the VP multiplier per Merge Level

Base: Each Merge Level = ×that level (ML 3 = ×3)
Node 16: Multiplies VP bonus by ×(1.0 + 0.5 × Node Level)
Max (98 levels): ×50 multiplier to Merge Level effect

Note: Node 16 was considered low priority early, but becomes significant in late game with high levels

🎯 Merge Level Strategy

For Fast Merge Leveling:
  • Set Spawn Level to very low (1-5)
  • Enable Autospawn
  • Enable Automerge (Node 6)
  • Let it run - each merge gives +1 EXP regardless of mineral level
  • Great for farming Merge Level during long AFK sessions
For Balanced Play:
  • Build mineral level naturally through Polish runs
  • Merge Level increases passively as you progress
  • Don't specifically farm Merge Level early - it happens naturally
  • Later when you have Node 34, can farm efficiently during magnet farming

✨ Combined Power

Magnets and Merge Level work together synergistically. Farming low-level minerals for magnets also increases Merge Level. High Merge Level multiplies the VP gains from magnet upgrades. After unlocking Node 34, both systems become permanent multipliers that accelerate every aspect of Minerals progression.
